We print and bind our books in house, giving our publications a unique feel and look. Our books are individually and carefully made, with sewn pages even in our paperbacks, and non-yellowing papers used for our covers. It is our intention that our books will last and be a pleasure to read and to own.
Our latest publication, Tim Mitchell's excellent Truth and Lies in Murder Park, is available in a choice of binding— a commercially produced one by Biddles of Kings Lynn, and our own handbound.
Why benben?
In ancient Egyptian mythology, the benben was the primordial mound which rose from the waters of chaos.
On the benben settled the creator god Atum - 'he who rose from within himself', or 'he who created himself'.
Later a golden benben stone topped obelisks and pyramids.
